The LIT program is an optional program designed for youth who are interested in developing leadership skills and gaining experience working with younger campers in a fun, supportive environment.
LIT participants take part in all of the daily camp activities while also stepping into introductory leadership roles. With guidance from our experienced coaching team, they will have opportunities to assist with games, support younger campers and begin building confidence in group settings.
Throughout the week, LIT's will be introduced to key skills such as communication, teamwork, responsibility and goal setting. Daily wrap-up sessions provide time for reflection, feedback and questions, helping each participant grow and learn in a meaningful way.
The Leader in Training program is designed to give your leaders a strong foundation in leadership while still fully enjoying the camp experience. Participants register as campers and pay regular camp fees.
At the end of the program, each participant will receive a certificate recognizing their involvement and progress.
Graduates of the LIT program may be invited to continue their development through our Coach in Training (CIT) Program (starting at age 14), where they take on increased responsibility to a volunteer role and further develop their coaching and leadership skills.
*To help us get into the fun straight away, please have your child arrive at camp each day wearing their bathing suit under their clothing, except for Tuesday*
